Student Activation Fund

Bringing projects to life

The Student Activation Fund is designed to help evolve a culture that embraces equity and supports a diverse and inclusive community, by funding student-led projects. This is an opportunity for UNSW students to celebrate and improve our culture by bringing their ideas, events and activations to life. Projects can address issues such as access, inclusion, belonging, global and environmental sustainability.

Funds are available now and we're looking forward to seeing your ideas.

FAQs

The Student Activation Fund is open for all UNSW students.

Submit your idea via this short form. We will be in touch if we have any follow questions about your submission.

We encourage projects that will contribute to EDI’s mission to "instil equity, diversity and inclusion across the University and equip our community to contribute to a fair and just society".

Projects can range from events, apps, video production, workshops, educational tools - all ideas will be considered.

The funds can be used for any goods or services that support the initiative outlined in your application (e.g. design costs, catering, room hire). Travel and salaries cannot be funded by the Student Activation Fund.

The Student Activation Fund is designed to be accessible - giving you more time to spend delivering your project. While we won't be asking for a final report on your project, we will encourage you to keep us in the loop and share information and stories about the impact you've achieved with us.

We're happy to answer any questions you have about the Student Activation Fund, or about your idea. Send us an email: EDIComms@unsw.edu.au

We ask that you submit for activities that are at least 6-8 weeks in advance so that we can ensure funds will get to you in time for your event or project.
