The UNSW Respect! Survey invited students and staff from 18 April – 17 May 2019 to share their experiences in relation to harassment, bullying, discrimination, sexual misconduct and related topics.
A total of 1433 staff members and 3080 students completed the survey and provided valuable insights to help build a more inclusive culture.
Professor Leisa Sargent, the co-Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Equity Diversity & Inclusion, is leading the Project Team to develop an evidence-based action plan that will broaden and strengthen a respectful culture for students and staff at UNSW.
“It is great to know that people feel safe on campus however there is an opportunity for us to be a more inclusive work, study and living environment especially for people with a disability, women, LGBTQI+ and culturally diverse staff and students.” Professor Leisa Sargent.
