What is UDL?
The UNSW Teaching Gateway has a new section on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) - a set of principles for curriculum development that gives all students equal opportunity to learn.
The gateway now includes tips and advice on how to put UDL into practice, starting with small changes that maximise inclusivity. There is information on UDL-friendly lesson planning and assessment design, plus step-by-step actions for inclusive online teaching. These new resources have been compiled by UNSW Disability Champion Dr Alanya Drummond and the Disability Champion Working Group (EDI), in collaboration with Professor Terry Cumming (Academic Lead Education, Disability Innovation Institute) and the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience).
