Initiatives

We work with students and staff across the whole University to evolve a culture that embraces equity and supports a diverse and inclusive community through strategic policies, initiatives, training programs and events.

Arc and UNSW have partnered in an initiative called 'Be A Better Human' in order to help strengthen a respectful and inclusive culture.Together we want to encourage everyone to do more when it comes to understanding, preventing and responding to disrespectful behaviours.

UNSW appoints new Diversity Champions every two years. These passionate individuals work closely with the Division of Equity Diversity & Inclusion to champion key portfolio areas of inclusion and diversity at UNSW.

International Women’s Day has become a time to reflect on progress, to call for change and to celebrate the courage and determination of the women who changed history, and those who are working to advance gender equality into the future. See whats on at UNSW this year.

We are proud that our community is made up of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities; and we continually strive to make UNSW a welcoming place for LGBTIQ+ students and staff.

One of the five initiatives outlined by the Strategy 2025 is to implement UNSW’s Disability Action Plan (DIAP). This plan aims to make the learning, working and teaching experience welcome and inclusive for people of all abilities.

The WWBA brings together colleagues and collaborators from across the UNSW community to enhance and highlight our diverse multidisciplinary work in the area of women’s wellbeing.
